Watercolor Trio Three Ways

Do you watch Top Chef? My husband and I enjoy watching that show and we always crack up when they present their dish and it's something "prepared three ways". They seem to run themselves crazy doing three different versions instead of just concentrating on one and making it really good.

So here's my version: Watercolor Trio three ways!

I did a workshop on Friday night and we made the first card as our make and take. It was mostly new stampers, so I wanted to keep it fairly easy. We stamped in Versamark ink and then rubbed the Stampin' Pastels over the stamped image for the "Poppin' Pastels" technique. A little scallop edge border finished out the card. I showed the stepped up version (right) so they could see how to add additional accessories.

And on Saturday, at my All Occasions Card Class, my stampers made the stepped up version. Note the tiny pearls in the center of the flowers. Also, I tore the right corner and curled it down a little and added the background stamp and some ribbon.

And at the workshop, I showed this alternative project using the same technique and materials. This is the hostess' little girl. Isn't she a doll?! I brought some other samples and talked about how you can use a 6x6 page as a starting point to build a larger scrapbook page. Click here to check out my other scrapbook page samples for more ideas.
